It’s official: The Union have acquired U.S. international defender Danny Califf, who this week terminated his contract with FC Midtjylland in the Danish league. Big signing. Califf should immediately step in as one of the top defenders in the Eastern Conference and give the Union a solid anchor in the middle of their back line. Prior to his move overseas, he was one of the top defenders in Major League Soccer, and he captained Aalborg to the Danish league championship before his move to Midjylland.
