The USWNT defeated Costa Rica 4-0 to win Group B of the CONCACAF qualifiers for the 2011 Women’s World Cup. With 18 goals scored and none allowed in group play, the US will play the second place team of Group B on Friday.

Philadelphia Independence forward Amy Rodriguez scored a hat trick in the USWNT’s 9-0 demolition of Guatemala. The win secures a spot for the US the semifinals of the CONCACAF qualifiers for the 2011 Women’s World Cup. The undefeated US next plays the also undefeated Costa Rica on November 1 to determine first place in Group B.

Only 8,823 fans showed up for Tuesday’s USMNT match vs. Colombia at PPL Park. Just 2,250 came for the USWNT-China match. Why did so few people show up? PSP lays it out.
