In Pictures: Philadelphia Union 3 – 1 New York Red Bulls

Kia Wagner, Quinn Sullivan and the Boys in Blue are BACK! Under the direction of new hard coach, retired Union Player, Union Academy Coach and Director, Ryan Ritcher. It was clear that things had changed by the energy on the field during warm-ups. A different buzz by Union staff, a new found confidence within the team and a new identity for the second half of the season. The team looked like they were ready to prove that they are not giving up on their season by winning an important game against rivals, New York Red Bulls.

A goal, called off-side, started the evening with an another goal following shortly after. The Red Bulls scored soon after the second half started but the Union answered with a goal from Indiana Vassilev. Another goal from Neil Pierre, 10 minutes later, sealed the win and the celebrating began. The Union play Seattle at home this Saturday, July 25 at Subaru Park.
