USMNT Defensive Struggles while Son Heung-min attacks

The U.S. backline looked stretched and disjointed from the outset, allowing Son Heung-Min to take over the match.

18th Minute – Goal by Son Heung-Min.
A through ball from Lee Jae-sung found Son, who exploited the space between Tristan Blackmon’s slide and goalkeeper Matt Freese to score.

43rd Minute – Goal by Lee Dong-gyeong (assisted by Son).
Son turned and executed a give-and-go, then set up Lee Dong-Gyeong with a first-time pass to double the lead just before halftime.

  1. Good photos Kev. At least you took home something positive.

  2. Thanks! Even with such poor play if Balogun burned his chance we might have had some hope. Nice to see McGlynn again, and Son up close is the real deal.
