- Kensington SC (PA) joins The League for Clubs. The League is excited to announce the addition of Kensington SC to our roster of clubs for 2025. Kensington SC was founded in 2010 and started as an indoor program for teens, running from January to March. What started as a small seasonal program has grown into a year-round organization that provides everything from after-school clinics to camps and the chance for players to compete at all skill levels from recreational to competitive. “Kensington Soccer Club is proud to join the League For Clubs, bringing high-level opportunities to committed players from the city of Philadelphia,” said Tim Summiel, Technical Director at Kensington SC. “This platform will help our athletes compete, grow, and thrive on and off the field.” Currently, Kensington SC is competing in the Eastern Premier Soccer League, playing in the Delaware River Conference. They will play their home matches at Northeast High School, which was founded in 1890 and is one of the oldest high schools in Philadelphia. Northeast has stood at its current location on Cottman Avenue since 1957. Two members of the National Soccer Hall of Fame, Walter Bahr and Len Oliver, were graduates of Northeast High School.
- USYS National League Regional Showcase New Jersey 2025… The National League Regional Showcases are focused on providing localized recruiting opportunities. Understanding that a significant percentage of students attend colleges within three hours of the home, the Regional Showcases will bring a recruitable moment closer to a player’s home — saving valuable time and resources for the parents, the club, and the attending scouts. Teams in the National League Conferences will get primary access to the National League Regional Showcases, while teams from outside leagues and organizations can apply to participate in the showcases to see if they are able to compete with teams from the National League Conferences. New Jersey and its neighboring states are home to over 215 NCAA (Divisions I, II and III) soccer programs, 57% of Division III colleges are located in the East Region and Tuckahoe Turf Farm is within 200 miles of 41 Division I programs. 15U-19U Girls: April 5-6, 2025; Boys: April 26-27, 2025; 15U: Green Branch Park: Pittsgrove, NJ; 16U-19U: Tuckahoe Turf Farms: Hammonton, NJ. - Women’s Premier Soccer League, in conjunction with Soccer Performance International (SPI) and FUTLAB announced today the 2025 WPSL International Combine to be held July 21 through July 23 in Charlotte, N.C. For the second consecutive year, Women’s Football Club of Charlotte will host the two-day event at OrthoCarolina Sportsplex. This year the WPSL and SPI welcome WPSL International Combine partner, FUTLAB PRO. Based in Madrid, Spain, FUTLAB PRO is one of the world’s leaders in identification and promotion of players with professional clubs across the globe. “Recognizing the exceptional talent in women’s soccer in the United States, we have partnered with the WPSL and SPI to host a unique event,” Sebastián Borobio, FUTLAB PRO founder and CEO, said. “Through this initiative, top-tier Spanish clubs will travel to the U.S. to scout and recruit players for their teams.” Professional scouts from U.S. and European-based clubs will be in attendance to evaluate this year’s crop of current and former WPSL players. Throughout the three-day event, scouts will observe players in two 120-minute training sessions and three 90-minute full-field scrimmages. “This year’s combine is the most sophisticated yet,” Andy Vera, SPI president, said. “Along with professional clubs ‘on-site’ to make legitimate offers, we will have international clubs connecting online to view and analyze potential players.”
Madrid CFF (Spain), Valencia FC (Spain), and CUS Consenza (Italy) have already committed to attend in search of some of the many hidden gems playing in the WPSL. The full roster of clubs attending this year’s combine will be announced later this summer. “The women’s game is growing, and the WPSL International Combine is providing more opportunities for female players to play professional football overseas and here in the United States, Scott Ginn, Women’s Football Club of Charlotte CEO and head coach, said. “We look forward to hosting a wonderful event again this summer and the summers to come.” For more information about the 2025 WPSL International Combine or to register, visit SPIsoccer.com For more information on the WPSL, visit wpslsoccer.com.
