We believe that Marlon LeBlanc’s familiarity with the Union’s playing methods, established under Tanner, combined with his proven ability to develop players at the Union II level, outweighs his lack of direct MLS experience. It is likely that he will retain assistant coach Frank Leicht and will definitely keep Director of Goalkeeping Phil Wheddon. Bringing on an assistant who is proficient in both Spanish and French would be an added benefit.
