Local lower league recap: Week of June 27

While some of the lower league seasons have concluded, others are winding down. However, there is still local lower league soccer taking place so The Philly Soccer Page is here to make sure you don’t miss anything. Let’s take a look back at the week of June 27 to keep you up to date.

NISA Nation

  • Thursday June 30 – New York Braveheart SC 1-1 Atlantic City FC

Atlantic City FC closed out their Spring NISA Nation campaign with a 3-2-5 record (W-D-L).

USL League 2

  • Wednesday June 29 – West Chester United 1-2 Ocean City Nor’easters
  • Friday July 1 – Ocean City Nor’easters 1-0 Real Central New Jersey
  • Saturday July 2 – Reading United 1-1 West Chester United

Next Up:

  • Wednesday July 6 – Philadelphia Lone Star vs Ocean City Nor’easters at 7 p.m. at South Philly Super Site
  • Wednesday July 6 – Lehigh Valley United vs West Chester United at 7 p.m.
  • Saturday July 9 – Philadelphia Lone Star vs Lehigh Valley United at 7 p.m. at South Philly Super Site
  • Sunday July 10 – Ocean City Nor’easters vs West Chester United at 7 p.m. at Carey Stadium

Ocean City is currently undefeated with a 9-2-0 (W-D-L) record and have three regular season games remaining. They have clinched the Mid-Atlantic Division title and will play in the USL2 playoffs.

West Chester is vying for a wild card spot for the USL2 playoffs.

National Premier Soccer League (NPSL)

  • Wednesday June 29 – Jackson Lions 8-2 Philadelphia Lone Star
  • Friday July 1 – West Chester United 4-2 Philadelphia Ukrainian Nationals
  • Saturday July 2 – Atlantic City FC 1-3 Torch FC
  • Saturday July 2 – Philadelphia Lone Star 5-1 FC Monmouth

Next Up:

  • Wednesday July 6 – Atlantic City FC vs FC Monmouth at 7 p.m.
  • Thursday July 7 – Torch FC vs West Chester United at 7 p.m.
  • Saturday July 9 – West Chested United vs PA Classics at 7 p.m.

This is the last week of the regular season and the top four teams in the table make the playoffs. West Chester will look to hold onto the fourth playoff spot and join Electric City Shock, FC Motown and Philadelphia Ukrainian Nationals in the playoffs.

    • Absolutely! Union Berlin has been doing great, they’ll be playing in the Europa League this season. Looking forward to it.
