too bad the paywall stymied most of us.

    • It’s funny………Pep at least acknowledges that the foundations of his philosophy came from Biesla………Klopp doesn’t admit it. He says the Germans developed pressing football from watching hockey……every coach gets a little something from their predecessors and takes it with them……..I think Klopp saw Biesla doing this too……he just doesn’t admit it…..

    • I’m not answering you three times either bruh……..Lolz!

Ha. How about it. stalled out computer. Least I disclosed all my avatars. Now that I no longer have a kid in The System… I can go back to being me.

Not that the anonymity ultimately mattered to the end result in that Simulacrum of a PreAcademy.

Maybe the PreAcademy was just the chrysalis of the beautiful butterfly the academy has become.

    • Jo el PackyFritz, lol! You sir have a few too many avatars! But the smooth styling usually gives you away!

  4. I fully understand that Matt Freese’s primary responsibility is to provide depth to the first team. My comment intends no criticism of the assumed decision to return him through quarantine, etc., to the first team in advance of the Sprint thru October.
    .
I still would have loved to have seen him in goal for the last two matches of Union II’s season.
    .
    1. He saves Raymond Lees goal against Pittsburgh, so that match ends tied.
    2. He’s not late on the rush against the early breakaway against Hartford, so no penalty kick and no goal.
    3. He does not give the Hartford captain the chance for the miraculous re-direct that turned the tie into the lost.
    .
I love Mitch Budler’s fearless confidence. He still expects to overcome all situations with superior aggression and athleticism, and that’s not appropriate when playing experienced adult pros. He needs at least a year to hone his judgment instincts.
    .
Ben Martino made one mistake Saturday night. More experience.

So close to finishing with a win and a draw..
    .
Remember that the Riverhounds destroyed them twice at the beginning of the season.

  5. For what it may be worth, I just noticed while working on something else that Transfermarkt places Brenden Aaronson’s roster value at $4.40 million.
    .
    $4.40 million.

  6. Not that surprising. DeAndre Yedlin was worth 4 million six years ago when he went to Tottenham. Chelsea paid $5 milllion for Matt Miazga, City paid 7 for Zach Steffen. Granted, Aaronson’s suitors seem to be a bit less high profile, but attacking midfielders tend to go for more anyways.
