The Philadelphia Union took on Montreal Impact at their “home away from home,” Red Bull Arena in Harrison, N.J., on Sunday night. It was a physical game between the teams, with a red card being issued to Quioto in the 16th minute and a yellow card to Blake in the 28th minute. Even a man down, Montreal fought hard against the Union but the night belonged to Philadelphia and its Homegrowns.
How COVID has changed so many things. here is a photo of the players area for the game. Chairs, 6ft apart, subs sitting the VIP seats, also socially distanced.

In the opening minutes of the game, Kacper Przybylko went in for a header while Clément Diop went for the block but punched Kacper instead of the ball.

Jim Curtain reacts to the ref not giving a card for the elbow to the face of McKenzie. Soon after, VAR was used and a red card was given to Romell Quioto in the 16th minute of the game.

Jakob Glesnes and Saphir Taïder battle on the ground for positioning for the incoming ball.
Karifa Yao looks like he is all about business on field while waiting for the chance to be subbed in. Thierry Henry stops a ball that went out of bounds. I can’t help but think he would have rather been on the field last night versus coaching from the box.
Anthony Fontana scores again, bringing his season total to 3 goals in 219 minutes of play.
Time to celebrate! Union goal scored by Anthony Fontana!
Victor Wanyama holds on the ball while being tackled by Warren Creavalle.

Your view has changed and so has ours. I will try to give a little insight to how my coverage as a photographer has changed due to COVID. The areas we are allowed in and our closeness to the players has reduced significantly. I thank thankful for the opportunity to have a small piece of “normal” from time to time and hope that sharing it with you, brings you a little closer to your team. I will be covering the game against Inter Miami on the 27th. Follow me on Twitter (@MarjorieElzey), Instagram (pitch_photos), and FB (@pitch.photos) or check out my website: www.pitch.photos.

The picture of the empty team bench is excellent.
