The Philadelphia Union first team spent last week at the new 76ers Fieldhouse located in Wilmington, Del., preparing for this week’s training camp and scrimmages in Clearwater, Fla.
The veterans of the team welcomed the new signings and Union II players, all were ready to play and challenge each other. In the middle of the week, the team held an “Open Practice” for fans to come and enjoy a preview of this season’s team.
I decided to show all the images from this past week in black and white, to showcase the intensity, hard work, strength and drive the players must have in order to make it to the field at Talen. The fans bring the color to the team.

Marjorie decided taking a camera to the stadium with her family would be a lot of fun -- little did she know her photos would earn her a place on the sidelines. She was hooked from that moment on and is so thankful for the opportunity to capture soccer up close and grow in the art of photography. Damn- I’ve been coming here daily since around the end of the 2011 season and I think this is the finest photo essay yet. Some great action shots and the black-and-white adds a real dramatic touch. Really well done.
Newer fan, but really enjoying the photos capturing the energy and dedication of the team…great job by all…thanks!!!
