Around the globe
The New York Times had a good piece on why many people may not go to the World Cup in Russia.
That Columbus tie is looking better and better.
This past weekend of no football was a killer. Portugal Egypt was almost enough to get me through, but no PL, no Champions League, no Union…. ugh. It’s no way to live.
Italy Argentina
Holland England
Germany Spain…. didn’t register on the Richter Scale?
.
All that to say, I agree. The Union start to the season is ridiculous. Two years in a row.
So many were on at the same time. Lots of options, but I can’t multitask like that. Nothing seemed as compelling to me as Salah v. Ronaldo.
It is decadent…..so fortunate today to have such access to poets priests and gods by way of satellites.

quite literally social media and the 24 hour news cycle’s antidote.

Polyrhythmic, Bloom, by Radiohead, comes to mind… “I’m moving out of orbit, turning in somersaults…..It’s what keeps me alive.”
Tomorrow night the Philly AO chapter is planning something big in the Field House during the US game. I plan to be there. Anyone else?
I’ll be at the game!
.
Should be interesting to see some of the young players called in. Specifically, it will be interesting to see Antonee Robinson if he gets in the game considering he plays leftback (which has been a position of weakness for the USMNT).
