Greg and Mike talk with Toronto FC Assistant Coach Robin Fraser and preview this weekend’s home opener when the Union welcome the depending Eastern Conference Champions to Talen Energy Field.

They then recap the Union’s opening game draw in Vancouver as well as touch on the week’s Champions League results to discuss Barcelona’s stunning comeback, Christian Pulisic’s contributions for Dortmund, and Arsenal’s disappointing exit.

    I have to say I’m not a big fan of the short corner, primarily because you now have an extra guy not in scoring position plus it’s one more player out of position if the team needs to get back quickly to prevent a counter.

    • On a useless note, I find it highly effective in FIFA.

    • I kinda feel the same way. I did read that Barca had abandon standard corner kicks for the short corner because after crunching the numbers they saw that long corners aren’t that productive. It is an interesting tactic to shake things up but dunno if they will stick with it all year.
