After losing at home to New York Red Bulls for their third loss in a row, last place Philadelphia Union now look ahead to their first encounter with expansion side Orlando City in league play, followed by a return home for their US Open Cup semifinal match against Chicago Fire on Tuesday.

In the latest edition of the Philly Soccer Show, KYW’s Greg Orlandini and PSP’s Eli Pearlman-Storch are joined by Union goalkeeper John McCarthy. The La Salle graduate has been the starter for the team in the Open Cup, but an injury to Brian Sylvestre saw McCarthy start last Saturday’s 3-1 loss to New York Red Bulls in MLS play.

After that, Greg and Eli are joined by CBS3’s Kevin Kinkead to break down the Union’s recent play. Losses to Toronto, DC United, and New York Red Bulls have put a dent into the team’s playoff hopes. They Union head south this Saturday to face Orlando City.
