There is a local company combining fashion with the world of soccer, and the man behind it all, Ebun Olaloye. is the guest on the latest episode of the KYW Philly Soccer Show.
Olaloye, a Temple University graduate and founder of Live Breathe Futbol talks with KYW’s Greg Orlandini and PSP’s Eli Pearlman-Storch about his early days growing up in Nigeria, where he first became interested in art.
While in college he discovered a whole culture of soccer fans who played games during the week and watched matches on the weekends. He took his love of the sport and love of design and Live Breathe Futbol was born.
Olaloye describes the company’s early beginnings and where he sees his clothing line going in the future.
After that, Eli and Greg look at the Philadelphia Union as they head into the final stretch of the season. The team earned a point against last-place DC United at RFK Stadium last weekend, and have a match away with the foundering Montreal Impact this Saturday.
It’s looking more and more as if the team’s playoff fate will be decided during the last game of the season, at home against Sporting KC on Oct. 26.
