It’s “on the road again” for the Philadelphia Union, and the KYW Philly Soccer Show previews this week’s clash against the Columbus Crew.
To help us do that, KYW’s Greg Orlandini and PSP writer Eli Pearlman-Storch are joined by Union defender Ray Gaddis. The second-year pro talks about the challenge he will have defending against top Crew players Eddie Gaven and Dominic Oduro. The natural right fullback also discusses what it has been like adjusting to a new position at left back.
Then, Greg and Eli break down some of the Union’s struggles in the midfield.
The Union’s loss to New York last week laid bare some of the team’s deficiencies in the middle, with center midfielder Michael Farfan struggling to lead the Union’s offense. This week, the team unveiled its latest edition, Brazilian midfielder Kleberson, who could provide the spark the team has been searching for.
