The US Open Cup dream has ended abruptly for the Philadelphia Union, but the team won’t have time to dwell on the loss to Sporting KC as the Montreal Impact rolls into town.
In this edition of the KYW Philly Soccer Show, KYW’s Greg Orlandini talks with Impact head coach Jesse Marsch.
In part one, the former MLS midfielder talks about the upcoming match, as well as what it’s like guiding a first-year expansion soccer team in one of the biggest hockey cities in North America.

In part two, PSP’s Eli Pearlman-Storch slides back into the co-host chair as the pod recaps the loss against Sporting KC in the semifinals of the US Open Cup. It was a physical game marked by some questionable officiating. But both Greg and Eli agree the Cup run has had a positive effect on the team.
Also, a look ahead to the matchup against the Impact and the return of former Union midfielder Justin Mapp.
