Junior Lone Star FC have released their 2012 National Premier Soccer League (NPSL) Schedule schedule. Playing in the Keystone Conference of the Northeast Division, Junior Lone Star starts off their 2012 campaign with four away games over a ten-day period, beginning with 2011 Keystone Conference runners-up and 2012 Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup participant, FC Sonic.
Junior Lone Star was founded in 2001 by West African immigrants, mainly Liberians, who migrated to the United States due to civil wars in their respective countries. The club has three active teams: the First Team in the NPSL, the U-23s in the USCS National Adult League, and the U-19/20s in the USL Super-20 League.
The team is led by head coach Bobby Ali, who has been at the helm since the club’s founding. The Stars will play all their home games at Northeast High School’s Charles Martin Memorial Stadium in Northeast Philadelphia. Tickets for all home games will be available beginning May 1, 2012.
