An American soccer legend is the guest this week as the KYW Philly Soccer Show is joined by Seattle Sounders goalkeeper Kasey Keller. The Washington State native had a long career in Europe and with the USMNT before returning to MLS to play in his home town.
In part one, Keller talks to KYW’s Greg Orlandini about the Sounders winning the US Open Cup for the third straight year on Tuesday and about the tough game coming up on Saturday against the Philadelphia Union. He also looks back at his long career as he looks toward retirement at the end of this year.
In part two, Philly Soccer Page writer Eli Pearlman-Storch joins the show. Greg and Eli analyze the Union’s draw against Chivas USA on Sunday, which saw the Union in second place in the East with three gamesleft to play.
In part three, the focus shifts to the USMNT. Jurgen Klinsmann’s men, who have scored only one goal and have yet to record a win since he took over the top spot, are set to face off against Honduras and Ecuador.
