The KYW Philly Soccer Show, with KYW’s Greg Orlandini and PSP’s Independence beat reporter Mike Servedio along with PSP’s Eli Pearlman-Storch, are joined this week by Philadelphia Independence head coach Paul Riley.
The Indepence lost to WNY Flash last Saturday in the WPS Championship in a game that went into extra time before being decided on penalty kicks. Riley, recently named the WPS Coach of the Year for the second year in a row, talks candidly about the state of women’s soccer in America and reflects on a season that saw the Independence gain in popularity after the Women’s World Cup.
