In this week’s KYW Philly Soccer Show podcast, KYW’s Greg Orlandini and the PSP’s Eli Pearlman-Storch are joined by Philadelphia Union’s assistant coach John Hackworth.
In part one of the pod, Coach Hackworth talks about the win against Chicago and how important it was to finally tally a second goal in a league game. He also talks about the wonder goal scored by Carlos Ruiz scored against the Fire to put the Union ahead.
In part two, Greg and Eli continue to break down the Union’s recent play and take a look at rookie Michael Farfan, the Union midfielder/defender who scored his first MLS goal and played 90 minutes in the win.
In part three, the pod looks at the USMNT roster for the CONCACAF Gold Cup, which kicks off on June 5. National team coach Bob Bradley went with seven MLS players as well as some stalwarts from last year’s World Cup. Greg and Eli go through the team and give their opinion of some of the selections.
