18-man roster for South Africa friendly announced

US men’s national team manager Bob Bradley has named the 18-man US roster for the upcoming friendly against South Africa. The match, part of the 20010 Nelson Mandela Challenge Cup, will take place on November 17 in Cape Town. ESPN2 will begin its coverage of the match at 2pm.

The roster includes five players from the 2010 World Cup team and is evenly split between players who are based in MLS or abroad. The roster includes six players—Gale Agbossoumonde, Juan Agudelo, Teal Bunbury, Dominic Cervi, Mikkel Diskerudwho and Tim Ream—will be working to achieve their first international cap.

Players out of season will begin arriving in South Africa on Saturday. Those with matches over the weekend will begin arriving on Monday.

    I like that teal bunbury is canadian and has gone out and said that he wants to play for canada not the usa. yet, he’s on the list. Now we just need to start snapping up guys like mwanga and zakuani.
