Even without two key players from Friday night’s win over Jamaica, the US is still a better team than Panama.
The US picked up three big points in their quest to qualify for the 2014 World Cup with a first half goal from Jozy Altidore and stoppage time winner from Brad Davis.
With Jamaica needing a win, expect the Jamaican team to come out very strong from the opening whistle.
Behind a sterling all-around display from Jozy Altidore and two well-taken goals by Clint Dempsey, the U.S. weathered some late heavy legs and German pressure to win 4–3.
The U.S. will play better against Germany than it did against Belgium. It certainly couldn’t play much worse.
What this roster represents is possibility. PSP takes a look.
Acknowledging the Union striker’s incredible start to the season, Jurgen Klinsmann named Jack McInerney to the USA’s 35-man provisional roster for the Gold Cup.
The good news is it was just a friendly, but this was a very bad day at the office for the US.
The US will face a Belgium team that is producing an increasing number of world class (or close to it) players and rising stars and is currently ranked 15th in the world.
