Major League Soccer has announced its lineup of on-air talent for the 2024 season, and it’s filled with veteran play-by-play announcers and match analysts who will give a voice to what we view on MLS Season Pass.

This season will once again feature a seasoned group of more than eighty broadcasters with expansive coverage including every match of the league’s regular season, Audi MLS Cup Playoffs, the MLS All-Star Game, and Leagues Cup all in one place — with consistent match times and no blackouts.

The MLS Season Pass play-by-play and analyst teams feature a roster of over sixty voices from the broadcast booth and stadium sidelines including Taylor Twellman (match analyst), Diego Valeri (match analyst), Kyndra de St. Aubin (match analyst), Lori Lindsey (match analyst), Marcelo Balboa (match analyst), Max Bretos (play-by-play), Jake Zivin (play-by-play), Pablo Ramírez (play-by-play), Frédéric Lord (play-by-play), and Sammy Sadovnik (play-by-play).

Newcomers to the match analysis team include Jalil Anibaba, former professional player and recently retired MLS defender; Warren Barton, former defender for the England National Team; and Jesús Bracamontes, Mexican former professional football player, manager, and veteran broadcast analyst.

The play-by-play team will also add new voices such as Nate Bukaty, Neil Sika, and Joe Tolleson. Two additional play-by-play Spanish commentators include John Laguna, who has served as a lead play-by-play announcer for FOX Deportes, and Jesús Acosta, who recently served as an announcer for Premier League World Feed in Spanish.

The duo assigned to broadcasting most of the Union matches last season, Steve Cangialosi (play-by-play) and Danny Higginbotham (match analyst), return for their second season behind the Season Pass microphone. The crew dispatched to cover the Philadelphia Union v. Chicago Fire match in Chester on Feb. 24 will be Chris Wittyngham and Lori Lindsey for the English-language broadcast.  The Spanish-language content will be broadcast by Diego Pessolano and Daniel Chapela.

Of course, there will be some familiar names to the Philadelphia Union faithful: Maurice Edu will serve as a match analyst as will Sebastion LeToux (match analyst for French-speaking commentary).

New host Kevin Egan, who previously served as a play-by-play announcer, will move in-studio to anchor MLS 360 in English.  Egan will be joined by returning studio talent and former professional soccer players Sacha Kljestan, Kaylyn Kyle, and Bradley Wright-Phillips.

MLS 360 in Spanish, new to MLS Season Pass, will be hosted by returning veteran broadcaster Tony Cherchi. He will be joined by former professional player Miguel Gallardo, and Giovanni Savarese, a former player and MLS Cup finalist head coach.

MLS launches its 29th season with the earliest kick-off in league history as Inter Miami CF hosts Real Salt Lake at 8 PM EST on Wednesday, February 21, at DRV PNK Stadium.

  1. I read somewhere that Le Toux was dropped from MLS Season Pass by Apple. That might be why he is not on your analyst list.

  2. Having Steve Cangialosi and Danny Higginbotham return is great. I think Cangialosi does pretty good play-by-play, but I really like Higginbotham’s analysis.

I’m sorry to hear that Warren Barton is still getting work.
