On a calm Saturday night, Cincinnati took a short trip over to Subaru Park, battling to one of the most exciting draws of the season.

On their familiar turf, the Union came out hot, going up 2-0 at the half against the best in the East. A 23rd minute rocket from José Martínez gave the Union an early lead, which was followed by a penalty from number 10 Daniel Gazdag. A stagnant start to the second half let Cincy right back in the game, with Boupendza scoring in the 49th minute, followed by a Brandon Vazquez equalizer in the 76th. Late red cards from Yerson Mosquera and Jack Elliot left little impact on the game, as the two biggest threats in the east came to a 2-2 finish.
