Local lower league recap: Week of April 25

In this new series, every Wednesday we’ll round up the action from the lower leagues of men’s soccer in the area.

Today we look back at the week of April 25, which saw Philadelphia Lone Star drop points, and Salone FC make a push toward the EPSL playoffs.

Eastern Premier Soccer League (EPSL)
  • Sunday May 1 – Salone FC 7-1 Albion SC Delaware
  • Sunday May 1 – Oaklyn United FC 2-0 Philadelphia Heritage SC

Next up:

On May 8, we’ll see a big Sunday slate of action as the battle for the playoffs heats up.

  • Albion SC Delaware vs Kensington SC at 5 p.m. at DE Turf Sports Complex
  • Philadelphia Heritage SC vs Real Central NJ at 5:30 p.m. at The Proving Grounds Field 8
  • Danubia SC vs Salone FC at 8 p.m. at Bristol Township Municipal Park
United Premier Soccer League
  • Sunday May 1 – Queensboro FC II 4-1 Philadelphia Lone Star FC

Next up:

On Saturday May 7, the Stars return home to face New York East SC at 5 p.m. at John Bartram HS Field.
