In this new series, every Wednesday we’ll round up the action from the lower leagues of men’s soccer in the area.

Today, we’ll look back at the week of April 18 to catch you up on the local results from EPSL, UPSL and NISA Nation, as well as some regional cup magic from West Chester United.

EPSL

Wrapping things up for the week, let’s highlight West Chester United, which is competing in both the National Amateur Cup and the Werner Fricker Open Cup. West Chester won the Robert M O’Neill PA State Cup to qualify for the regional competition in the National Amateur Cup. They also won the Frank Giancroce PA State Cup to qualify for the regional competition in the Werner Fricker Open Cup.

• On 4/20 in the Werner Fricker Open Cup, West Chested advanced on PKs, beating Christos FC to advance to the Region 1 semi-finals
• On 4/24 in the National Amateur Cup, West Chester defeated Appalachia Steel FC to advance to the Region 1 semi-finals
