Philadelphia Union
After his brace against the Whitecaps, Borek Dockal was named MLS Player of the Week.
Philadelphia Union’s U19s were eliminated from the Development Academy playoffs, falling to L.A. Galaxy 4-1.
Local
Borek Dockal wasn’t the only local pro to receive honors. Bethlehem Steel’s Chris Nanco was named to the USL Team of the Week after his two-assist performance against New York Red Bulls II, and Penn F.C.’s Lucky Mkosana scored a brace to earn his spot on the team as well.
As a part of the Philadelphia Union Festival, Reading United A.C. and Bethlehem Steel faced off, playing to a 1-1 draw.
MLS
Atlanta United used TAM to sign 23-year-old Argentinian defensive midfielder Eric Remedi. With Atlanta’s current roster, Remedi could be a real difference maker.
Maradona’s antics during that game… National Hero keeps producing.

Portland vs. Atlanta with 1,074,000 viewers on Fox this past weekend. The most watched regular season game ever. World cup bump without the USMNT involved makes the decision to play games during the World Cup look smart. Sorry to all the soccer purist but proof is in the numbers.
TV viewership is the real popularity number (and where the money is). Lets hope MLS keeps growing here.
