The MLS SuperDraft is in Philadelphia for the second straight year next week, and the latest episode of the KYW Philly Soccer Show is here to help you get ready for it.
KYW’s Greg Orlandini and PSP’s Eli Pearlman-Storch are joined by Sean Doyle, social media director for Reading United, the Philadelphia Union’s PDL affiliate. Sean brings his wide knowledge of both player development and the college game to preview the draft. Reading has several players in this year’s draft, and Sean gives us the background on all of them.
Then, PSP’s Adam Cann joins in as the discussion turns to reports that the Union have secured the permanent transfer of Maurice Edu from Stoke City.
Also discussed is the year-long loan of Union goalkeeper Zac MacMath to the Colorado Rapids.

Why even have a draft if the outcome is so useless?
Also, am I right that NE now has Jermaine Jones and Lee Nyugen? Even expansion teams look more dangerous than the Union.
Another year, no playoffs it would seem.
