Hershey, PA native and Richmond Kickers forward Jason Yeisley showed his creativity in Friday’s 4-0 win over Antigua Barracuda. The Richmond forward nearly got on the scoreboard in the 11th minute when teammate Nate Robinson served a cross from the right wing and found Yeisley in the penalty area. Yeisley stepped around his defender but mistimed his shot, allowing the Barracuda defenders to clear the ball.
Richmond stepped up in the 24th minute when Yeisley, receiving the ball at the end line, cut back and drew the Antigua keeper his way. Driving the ball across to the back post, Robinson took two steps towards goal and tapped home the opener.
Yeisley nearly doubled the score 10 minutes later when he received a cross from teammate Brian Ownby at the left post, but his diving header skimmed just wide of the goal.
Ten minutes into the second half, Yeisley set up yet another goal. Playing the ball to the top of the box, and again finding Robinson in the penalty area, Robinson himself turned playmaker as he settled the ball and fed it through to Ownby, who beat the Antigua keeper as he came off his line and slotted the ball into an empty net.
Yeisley formely played with Penn State, Reading Rage, FC Dallas, and Pittsburgh Riverhounds.

I played against Yeisley in high school, and he was quite the scorer back then. He had really good composure in front of goal. I’d imagine he would’ve been able to make a greater impact in MLS had he not injured his knee in college.
