The Philadelphia Union’s playoff hopes took a massive hit this week, and the team will try to right the ship when they visit the equally struggling New England Revolution.
KYW’s Greg Orlandini and PSP’s Eli Pearlman-Storch talk with Rev’s coach Jay Heaps this week on the latest edition of the KYW Philly Soccer Show.
In part one, the first-year coach and former New England player talks about the up-and-down season his team has had.
After losing 4-3 to Columbus last weekend, on Wednesday night the team saw a 3-0 lead turn into a 3-3 draw against Chivas USA, which dented their own playoff hopes.

In part two, a heartbreaking loss to the Columbus Crew has all but torpedoed the Union’s playoff chances.
August has been a cruel month for the Union. The team, which is winless in five matches, is struggling in front of goal, scoring only three times in the last five games.
Also, the team is embroiled in a bit of a controversy with one of its star players, with Freddy Adu voicing his concerns with seeing his playing time fluctuate.
