Despite a strong first half showing, the Union faded down the stretch, allowing the visiting Galaxy to score three unanswered second half goals for a 4-1 victory.
The Union managed to steal three points in Chicago, but outside of Zac MacMath, Jack McInerney and Sebastien Le Toux’s pinpoint delivery, there were precious few positives.

There were plenty of chances to win the match – the final uncalled penalty aside – but the Union left too much space for Seattle in the attacking third and paid the price.
After falling behind early in the first half to an Eddie Johnson goal, two excellent strikes from Danny Cruz gave the Union a brief second half lead only for Mauro Rosales to equalize for the visitors and set up a tense and chippy finish.
There was very little about which to smile in the Union’s 2-0 defeat against the Revs. Perhaps John Hackworth will shuffle his deck before Saturday’s showdown with Seattle.
