It’s time to talk tactics in the latest edition of the KYW Philly Soccer Show. This week, KYW’s Greg Orlandini and PSP’s Eli Pearlman-Storch are joined by MLSsoccer.com’s Armchair Analyst, Matt Doyle.
Greg, Eli, and Matt talk about the current run of games from the Philadelphia Union, a team Doyle picked to do big things this year. He’s called them a frustrating team and, while showing promise, they have made mental mistakes in key spots this season.
Greg and Eli then preview the Union’s road game against Red Bulls in North Jersey tonight. The Red Bulls are struggling for results and haven’t recorded a win yet this season.

Looking forward to this. Any idea on when it will go up on iTunes?
Matt Doyle calls the game against NE w’out Brian Carroll the Union’s worst. I’ve got to disagree. The first half may have been the best soccer this team has ever played; it was certainly the most beautiful. I won’t deny that they had a weak second half, but some of that may be attributable to Berry’s injury (and sub for Wheeler)and not making other subs until the 82nd and 87th mins, well after your starters are gassed. This was a strong game, if not the strongest on the season.
