The Union looked great, but they still lost. Adu’s red card was the obvious turning point in the match, and Union fans must begin to wonder if their undersized defense can survive an entire season. With video of post-game locker room interviews.
The Union’s midfield play was found wanting by an in-form Sounders outfit that controlled the match from the opening whistle.

A win’s a win for the Union who will be glad to bring three points back from the west coast despite a less than stellar performance. Suspensions to Gabriel Farfan and Keon Daniel will hurt the team in the short term, though.
