Aaronson.
.
in other news, imagine if Berhalter pulled Pepi and not Sargent.
Or if he had pulled McKenzie rather than Brooks (McKenzie being the only defender besides the one on the ball who actually covered a man on the Honduras goal).
.
For my money Aaronson was the best player on the field over the last 2 games. His decision making was miles ahead of Pulisic’s who spent most of the time trying to show how much better he was than the players on the other team, leading to many turnovers. Remember that 3 of the goals were scored after Pulisic came off.
Both are doing their best to increase our asking price for the current HGs.
+1 on Andy’s comment
The worst half of soccer and the best half of soccer for the USMNT in one game. It’s only the second time they’ve won on the road after going down one goal and the most goals they’ve scored in a comeback. Christian looks like he’s trying to hard to be the leader while Aaronson looks like he’s keeping it simple and letting the game come to him.
Just got an e-mail from the Union that the Gotham FC – Washington Spirit game on October 6 is being moved to Subaru Park. Ostensibly it is to allow Carli Lloyd to play one more game near where she grew up (it’s Gotham’s penultimate home game of the season) but it will also mark the return to Philadelphia of former Independence player Estelle Johnson.
