Philadelphia Union

ICYMI, the Union fell 1-0 to Columbus Crew in Ohio last night. Read PSP’s match report for the whole story. The Crew are now in first place in the Eastern Conference.

It took a deflection to beat Andre Blake, but the Union were not without chances.

MLS

There were a lot of games last night. Let’s hit it:

Atlanta and Miami had themselves a listless 0-0 draw.

Cincinnati and Chicago apparently played a game, but did not score goals either.

A late goal by DC United’s U10’s stunned Red Bulls.

Houston popped Minnesota United 3-0 in the Texas heat.

New York City kept rolling with a 2-0 defeat of New England.

Sporting Kansas City and Dallas got a goal apiece in their draw.

Same for Orlando and Nashville.

Seattle and Real Salt Lake settled for a 2-2 tie.

The Galaxy looked more like the Galaxy with a 3-2 win over Portland.

LAFC did a very LAFC thing and crushed San Jose 5-1.

USL

Bad news: Union II lost to Atlanta United 2 last night. Good news: Paxten Aaronson scored again.

NWSL

Huge news for women’s soccer as NWSL lands a TV deal with CBS for their upcoming fall series, while England’s FAWSL will be on NBC Sports. High-fives all around (if you have those channels…).
