Moving up to second in the odds doesn’t say much when the Union are one step closer than everyone else…especially when their chances are still less than 25%.

    • It doesn’t say anything bad, either.

The disrespect never ends. Screw LA teams. And of course screw the Pigeons. The doubts will never end, even if we get the trophy, but let’s win it anyway.

    • Andy Muenz says:

After last night’s game, the Union have moved into the dreaded number 1 spot at 28%. Orlando is second at 19%. It makes sense they are the top 2 since they have one fewer game to win, but I’m surprised at the difference between the two considering they played to a draw a couple of weeks ago.

And it uses the past histories of the individual players on its rosters, including the perceived qualities of the leagues from which they have come.

It was predicting Inter Miami was a serious MLS squad before the club had played a match. Of course the pink Flamingoes have now set a record for consecutive losses to open a season.
        .
And it gave Orlando a 28 or 27 % chance to win.
        .
And going off past performance the Union was a heavy underdog to SKC according to the some London bookies.

      Honest question:
How many beat writers does the Inquirer have for the Eagles?
      How about for the Phillies?
      What about the Sixers?
On top of that how many different journalists are writing stories on even just these three teams?
      .
They only have one for MLS.
They only have one for NWSL.
They only have one for the USWNT.
They only have one for the USMNT.
They only have one for International Soccer.

And they are all the same guy. Props JT.

They are the worst. Got pulled into a subscription and it was like getting teeth drilled with a screwdriver trying to get out of it.

    • Agreed on the sports front.

But we still need them for local news. Having no paper would disastrous for the metro area. So, subscribe anyway.

  3. Was great being on the field at Subaru Park last night!

    • Andy Muenz says:

I guess you made it home OK with the thunderstorms afterwards.
      .
We went there for the Orlando game but decided not to last night given the expected high temperature.

      • temperature was nice. Not too humid. Saw some lightning driving back. Started to rain as we pulled into the garage at home. looks like we were on TV towards the end 🙂

      • Andy Muenz says:

Yup, they showed a shot towards the end of the cheering from Subaru Park after one of Santos’ goals (I don’t remember which one).
