News roundup: Union’s round of 16 match tomorrow, Union II play too

The Union play the New England Revolution tomorrow night at 10:30pm on ESPN2 in the first knockout round of the MLS is Back Tournament.

Curtin equates prepping for tomorrow’s match to last season’s playoff victory over the New York Red Bulls.

The Union were left out of the Philadelphia Inquirer’s big “sports are back!” announcement yesterday, and Union Twitter had a field day. They added an addendum crediting all of Jonathan Tannenwald’s great work soon after.

The Union II will also be playing tomorrow night against Hartford Athletic in Connecticut, kicking off at 7pm on ESPN+.

    Hopefully Union II can do better than their last two debacles.
    .
    Was disappointed last night when I saw LA Galaxy had tied it in stoppage time as a Houston win would have kept NYCFC out of the knockout round. At least NYRB didn’t make it.
