  1. Happy for Sheanon that he’s been signed by an MLS club. I always liked him.

  2. Even though Russia demolished Saudi Arabia yesterday, I still think they get topped by Egypt and fail tot get out of the group. Though this first match and that goal differential could let them play a pretty negative game against Egypt and give them the edge. It might be silly to think the hosts won’t get out of a group, but I just don’t have any faith in that team. We’ll see.

Egypt – Uruguay this morning was a good time. Egypt looked pretty good, even without Salah.

Today is the day of the goal at the death. First, Uruguay; now a Morocco own goal for Iran.

Notice how in both Ekaterinburg and St. Petersburg, the cheaper seats are full, but the expensive ones are not. What? FIFA price gouge? Shocking.

Russians have always known value. Old Soviet joke: “as long as they pretend to pay us, we will pretend to work.”

  4. The Truth says:

Diego Costa’s stock just went up in my book with that goal. Always pegged him as all bark and no bite and then he goes and does that. Wow, well done.
