He’s lived the life of a soccer nomad, but he may have found a home in Philadelphia.

Union forward Aaron Wheeler is the guest on this week’s KYW Philly Soccer Show.

KYW’s Greg Orlandini and Philly Soccer Page writer Eli Pearlman-Storch talk with the MLS rookie who made his league debut Wednesday in the team’s 3-0 win over the Columbus Crew at PPL Park.  Wheeler previously played in a friendly against Mexican team Pumas in March.

The 6′-4″ Wheeler talks about his stop in the lower leagues of American soccer before heading to Finland for a season. He joined the Union in training camp before the 2013 season and earned a spot on the squad.

Greg and Eli then shift to the US National team, which has two World Cup qualifiers coming up on the road—in Jamaica on Friday, and in Seattle against Panama on Tuesday.

The Yanks are coming off an exciting “friendly” win against Germany last week at RFK during which forward Jozy Altidore scored his first open play goal under US coach Jurgen Klinsmann.
