It’s back on the road for the Philadelphia Union as they take on the struggling New England Revolution, and defender Sheanon Williams joins hosts KYW’s Greg Orlandini and PSP writer Eli Pearlman-Storch on the latest KYW Philly Soccer Show to preview the game.

Williams, a Boston native coming off an excellent game on both sides of the ball in DC, talks about returning home to play in Gillette Stadium, a venue he went to when he was younger.

He also talks about his long throw-in skills, which has led to some big Union goals.

Then, the pod looks ahead to the New England game and a team the Union has yet to lose against (5-0-3).

The Revs have struggled early with some key injuries. Greg and Eli wonder if, despite his good play, would this be a good game to rest Union striker Conor Casey? He has played back-to-back 90 minute matches, and the fact that the Revs play on turf could factor into the decision.

Finally, Greg and Eli cast their eyes across the Atlantic, where a power shift looks to be underway in European soccer.

German teams Bayern Munich and Borussia Dortmund dominated their Spanish opponents, Barcelona and Real Madrid, respectively, in the first leg of the UEFA Champions League semifinals.

With the second legs next week, it sets up the possibility of an all-German final in the most prestigious club competition in the world.
