He’s the Philadelphia Union’s all-time leader in every offensive category, was the face of the franchise, and won the hearts of fans before his trade to the Vancouver White Caps this past January.

And now, after a stop with New York Red Bulls, Sébastien Le Toux is back home. In the latest edition of the Philly Soccer Show, the returning Union forward joined KYW’s Greg Orlandini and PSP’s Eli Pearlman-Storch in the studio to talk about his year away from the team and his return.

Le Toux returns to the Union as a veteran on a young team, and he talks about being a leader on the Union, especially to the forwards. The Frenchman also touches on his rocky split with former Union manager Peter Nowak and how he is looking forward to working with current manager John Hackworth again, who was an assistant during Le Toux’s first tour with the team.

In part two, Greg and Eli talk more about the Le Toux trade, as well as the acquisition of defender Jeff Parke from the Seattle Sounders.

Parke, an Abington native and Drexel University grad, is yet another Delaware Valley product to join the team, which recently hired assistant coach Jim Curtin, a Villanova alum.

Greg and Eli talk about how Parke will fit into a central defense rotation that includes captain Carlos Valdes and Bakary Soumare, who is coming off a knee injury.
