KYW’s Greg Orlandini and the PSP’s writer Adam Cann talk with Philadelphia Union fullback Jordan Harvey in this week’s edition of the Philly Soccer Show.
Harvey is among the team leaders in minutes played, and has been a defensive stalwart since joining the team in its first season last year.
In Part 1 of the show, Greg and Adam talk with Jordan about the draw against Real Salt Lake. After the Union dominated the first half, RSL equalized on what some saw as a contested goal. Jordan also talks about about his training and what he loves about playing in Philadelphia.
In part 2, Greg and Adam break down the RSL match and also discuss the issue of the quality of refereeing in MLS. The league has faced regular criticism for some poor referee decisions and hard tackles that have led to injuries.
In parts 3 and 4, Greg and Adam talk about the US National Team as they compete in the CONCACAF Gold Cup.

I don’t think the examples you privdoe apply to this ad. There are other reasons to decline to air an ad. One of them is if it is deliberately deceptive or untrue. If an ad goes too far in misrepresenting an opponent or issue it can be rejected on those grounds. And if anyone did an ad using ebonics, or something else that was deliberately intended to insult, they would pay a price at the polls.Ads using impersonators are not new. This one is typical in that it presents an absurd exaggeration of the target. It is designed specifically to prevent anyone from thinking it is actually Bush. In circumstances like this I don’t think it’s appropriate for the station to make an editorial decision to the detriment of the advertiser.There are probably gray areas, as you suggest, but I don’t think this is one. And I don’t think decisions should made on the basis of what might occur at some other time with other facts.
