A lot has been happening around the soccer world lately, from David Beckham trade rumors to Landon Donovan starring in a Mexican commercial (and its funny too!) So let’s start off this edition of the Roundup with the Union.

Look for the Union label. Seriously, look for it. MLS has misplaced it.
First MLS snubs the Union by dragging its feet in naming Le Toux to the All-Star team. Now it has added insult to injury by forgetting to include the Union crest on the All-Star pennant. Thanks guys, we love you to.
It was a quiet weekend for the Union with the All-Star game just around the corner and their next game on Saturday, July 31. But, some big news from Sports Illustrated put some Philadelphia Union players and Peter Nowak in the minds of SI readers everywhere.
According to SI.com’s Steve Davis, the mid-season MLS MVP goes to Philly’s favorite Frenchman Sebastien Le Toux. Out of the 18 goals the Union have scored so far, Le Toux has had a hand, or is that a foot, in 14 of them with 7 goals and 7 assists.
Danny Mwanga is also in consideration for Rookie of the Year. Manager Peter Nowak is also in the running for Coach of the Year, right behind Hans Backe of the NY Red Bulls.
Rest of the MLS
The Kansas City Wizards took on Manchester United on Sunday and won 2-1. 52,000 + fans showed up to watch the match, which was a record crowd for a KC Wizards game. Wizards Central Defender Jimmy Conrad said, “MLS owns the city of Manchester right now.” Conrad was sent off in the 39th minute.
