Several players with local ties made an impact over the weekend in their respective games.

Chestnut Hill Academy grad Jeff Larentowicz tallied his third goal of the season for the Fire to help the squad secure a valuable point at home.

Union homegrown player Jimmy McLaughlin, and Swarthmore grad and former Union player Morgan Langley, remained hot for Harrisburg. In the 4-2 US Open Cup road win over Baltimore Bohemians on Wednesday, both players scored a brace and McLaughlin also had the assist on Langley’s 8th minute goal. In Saturday’s USL PRO game, the two locals teamed up with McLaughlin providing the assist for Langley’s goal 55th minute goal in the City Islander’s 3-2 home loss to Richmond Kickers. In Sunday’s game at Pittsburgh Riverhounds, McLaughlin scored an absolute beauty in the 85th minute for a 1-1 draw.

Corey Hertzog alsoscored his first goal of the season in Orlando’s 2-0 victory over Charleston, and helped keep his undefeated team in first place.
