Philadelphians Abroad: Langley lights it up for Harrisburg

Although not the PSP Player of the Week, Morgan Langley was definitely in the conversation.

In Saturday’s game Langley scored two goals and had two assists, which helped the City Islanders in a big win over Dayton. Langley has 8 points this season, 5 more than the next closest player. He has also only taken 15 shots, which makes his shooting percentage nearly fifty percent. The City Islanders struggled to find the back of the net early in the season, but lately Langley has been playing great and goals haven’t been a problem.

Being the leader in points is something Langley is familiar with. At Swarthmore College, Langley set the all-time record for career points and assists. His Senior year, he set a single season points record with 42, scoring 14 goals and dishing out 14 assists. Langley is currently sitting 9th in the USL for points, averaging 1.17 a game. Hopefully Langley can keep his form and will help build some steam for the up and down Islanders.

  1. Ryan Finley is no longer on Dayton Lions (USL). He is playing for Chivas and played in their last game in MLS.
