    I haven’t read any of the books listed by The Ball is Round but they appear to be about the English game. For those looking for something about the American game, check out David Wangerin’s Distant Corners, in which the author expands on his previous history of soccer in the US, Soccer in a Football World. Also, Dave Lange’s Soccer Made in St. Louis is an excellent, and beautifully designed, book on the history of the game in that city.
